Ross Lynch from the band R5 and actor from Disney Channel's Austin and Ally visited Kermit Weeks at Fantasy of Flight on Valentine's Day 2016. Ross thought his visit was to be a surprise birthday present for Kermit Weeks daughter, Katie... but the surprise also turned out to be his, as he got the opportunity to ride with Kermit in two of his favorite aircraft... the P-51D Mustang and the Curtis...
Curtiss TP 40N - First Flight in 4 1/2 Years

I recently got a chance to try a test flight in our TP-40N! If you'll remember, the last time I flew it, FOUR AND A HALF YEARS AGO, the landing gear didn't want to come up so I immediately put it down and landed safely. I had already bellied in my other P-40E due to a problem and didn't want a repeat episode. I decided not to fly this one again until we re-installed an original emergency system...

Doug Canning - Combat Pilot in Three Wars. Piloted a P-38 on the Yamamoto mission. Flew 67 Missions Guadalcanal, first tour P-400's, 2nd and 3rd tour P-38. In Korea he flew 37 P-51 Missions and 64 A-26 reconnaissance missions on the Chinese and Russian borders. In Vietnam he flew the C-133, carrying helicopters. He Retired in 1969 as Lt Colonel after 29 years service.
Fantasy of Flight - New "Museum Lite" Open

Fantasy of Flight's new "Museum Lite" will have seasonal openings through the year. Check the Fantasy of Flight website calendar for open dates. During its seasonal openings, this smaller, light version of Fantasy of Flight will be open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Admission will be: $12.00 Adults, $10.00 Seniors and $8.00 for Kids.

Kermit...Is this the same aircraft that Steve Hinton flew in the film The Rocketeer? It was rumored that for the film, extra wing length was added to enhance stability. Can you guys confirm? Love all the shows.....Mike

Great video! The Curtiss Pusher is definitely my favorite "Pioneer Age" aircraft! (Although I prefer the "headless" version that didn't have the "header" assembly out in front of the pilot.)

The Spitfire (in my opinion), is the greatest, best looking & best sounding aircraft to have ever graced the earth.
Wonderful to see this in the air and first person perspective through the lens.
Hats off to its battery to take that much load during the startup.. dint see any APU connected so i guess its the battery powering the cranking the whole time..
Sounds like she's starving a bit at the beginning ( Could be the choke ) ... grey smoke is the fuel mixture. And there ya go ... at 3.05 you hear the Pilot say something about pushing the MIXTURE forward ... and BOOM ... as soon as he gets the choke/fuel mix sorted she fires right up.
